The Get By - HBO Documentary about Skaters in NYC
“HBO has been pushing the hell out of their series “How to Make it in America” and as part of their efforts have just dropped this mini-documentary, “The Get By” about being a skater and making it in the industry in the dopest city in the world. It’s impossible to front on all the ill footage of NYC skatespots and interviews with Billy Rohan, Gino Iannucci, Anthony Pappalardo, Zered Basset, Todd Jordan and many more, but you can’t help but think it’s a little suspect that HBO produced this very real documentary just to hype a fake show. Maybe they should make “The Get By” a series and drop the other one.”
